I'm doing something different for this cut, I'm being very lenient, and I'm enjoying myself. Previous times I wanted to lean out, I had one perspective. A start and a finish. I never thought to just take my time, and enjoy the transition. I Watch/Track my calories, adjust foods and make small substitutes. Still aim to hit my calorie and macro goals, 4-5 days out of the week at least. But I feel if you aren't preparing for a competition, this is the most efficient in terms of mental health and overall happiness. No binging, and saying "fuck it" for a week because you're fed up with restricting yourself. No crazy loss in strength and endurance, making workouts almost unbearable to successfully achieve progressive overload. Just dropping a little fat and taking my time with it. If I needed to get bat shit shredded in two months, I would Make it happen. But it doesn't need to. Not when I have more goals than just looking lean for summer.

Pretty much lost most of my trap thickness due to not training them in order to stretch and loosen them up. Now that they’re feeling normal, we’re gonna bring the thickness to my upper back again.

P.S. this is were I hold practically all of my body fat. So I really never get to see what my back looks like shredded unless I were to cut down below 10%. Although my midsection remains looking around 10-12% at a much higher bf.
It pretty much comes down to where you personally store fat that decides this. Doesn’t mean you can’t drop the fat you don’t want!

I’ve pretty much been eating intuitively making sure I cover my protein requirement daily and the rest of my cals are carbs and some fats.
I roughly eat the same things as a routine just adding and subtracting items as I feel necessary.

325lb 4x3 today🙌🏻 steady growing. It’s all about the process. 5 months ago I couldn’t push this weight without horrible pain shooting up my neck. Pretty much crippling me from continuing my workout and would leave me frustrated and pretty upset.
Thanks to my chiropractor advising me on what could be wrong and how to address it. I backed off the weight worked on the issues within my neck and rebuilt my strength with little to no pain.
This is the 4th week Day One Push of my Advanced Program.
Four weeks in and I’ve already broken multiple PRs on all my lifts and still need to deload in a few more weeks to truly test my strength.

All I want to say is, the obstacles you’re faced with can seem pretty discouraging and it’s easy to misinterpret your situation as something you can’t handle. It’s difficult to accept your situation for what it is, and plan on how to overcome it. Normally the solution takes time to accomplish, and many people don’t have the patience. Most want it now. The fact that it won’t be easy or quick is discouraging. But anything worth having, takes time. Have patience and be confident.

One of my recent squat days where everything just felt wrong and terrible. My form was a mess, weight felt heavier than usual, and I wasn't confident at all. Sometimes these days happen and it used to pretty much ruin my whole workout.
If you aren't feeling as good as you normally do, consider what you ate that day or the day before, the time you went to train, how much sleep you got, if you've been drinking less water, there's so many variables that influence training performance. Bad workouts happen, just make up for it in a ton of volume and get a pump brah🤘🏻

Thank you to everyone that believed in me. It's been tough making decisions on different paths to take. So many thoughts can drive someone crazy, you could be completely wrong and just be making a mistake. Or that decision can lead to something even better than you thought. The truth is, mistake or not, go with your gut. Be confident with what you do and have faith in your decisions. Confidence can keep you thinking clearly. If you mess up, you have just learned something from that mistake, and will never repeat it again. I struggled with this concept and, was always so nervous making big decisions because of the repercussions that could follow. Growing out of that took a big decision.
